What documentation is needed to enter the U.S.?

Citizens of countries authorized to participate in the Visa Waiver Program are required to present an unexpired machine-readable passport. Canadians flying to the United States are required to have a valid passport OR a NEXUS card, when used at a NEXUS kiosk at designated airports. For additional information click here.

What type of clothing should I bring to wear at the conference?

In July, temperatures average around 70 degrees Fahrenheit It is not uncommon for nighttime temperatures to be very warm as well. It is recommenced that light, cool clothes are brought to the conference. Please be certain to bring appropriate clothes for any of the conference tours (rain gear, hiking clothes and footwear, sun hat, swim suit, etc) On Uniform Day, uniforms are to be worn by officers all day (no firearms). The closing banquet is semi-formal. At all other times, casual comfortable clothing is appropriate.

What family or fast food restaurants are near the conference host?

Sheraton Pittsburgh North has a restaurant in the hotel. There are also several popular chain restaurants in the area.

Where can I rent a car?

There are several car rental companies located at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Does the host hotel allow pets?

Regretfully, the host hotel does not accommodate pets, if you choose to bring pets, you may want to consider staying at Bear Run Campground. Just to note: pets are welcome at any RV and tenting sites and are subject to their pet policy restrictions and management approval. If renting a cabin, a $100 security deposit will be held subject to an approved inspection of cabin upon checkout.
